Call for Nominations!
The WLAO, established in 1919, has opened the nomination process for new Board of Directors and Committee members.
Please submit your nomination by 5:00 P.M. (EST) on October 11, 2024.
- Directors: 2-year term; monthly Board meetings, chairing committees, event organizing
- Committee Members: 1-year term, monthly Committee meetings, project work
Eligibility Criteria: To be elected, candidates must:
- be a member of the WLAO at the time of their membership
- For Directors:
- be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, including no open investigations
- meet statutory requirements
- Committee members can be law students and licensing candidates
Failure to satisfy any requirement will result in the rejection of your nomination.
SUBMIT: Interested candidates must submit a statement of interest and resume via email to [email protected]
The statement will be shared with the WLAO Board of Directors in advance of the next Board meeting to allow our Board to make an informed decision when they vote.
Your statement of interest should be no longer than one letter-sized page. Please submit both your statement of interest and resume in PDF format.
Statements of interest should be e-mailed to [email protected] with the subject line: “2024 DIRECTOR (or COMMITTEE MEMBER) Statement of Interest” by 5:00 P.M. (EST) on October 11, 2024.
