Dear Members,
A long-time supporter of WLAO, Jane Southren of Jane Southren Consulting, is pleased to offer a once in a practice opportunity for lawyers who are also expectant first time Moms, for a limited time with exclusive pricing.
If you are planning to start your first maternity leave anytime between November 1, 2020 and January 31, 2021, this special opportunity to be a member of the pilot cohort for our groundbreaking return-from-leave program “Come Back + Crush It” and return from your leave confident, powered up and set up to thrive, may be just what you have been looking for!!
How would it feel to go on maternity leave knowing that you had a solid, well-formulated plan for your return? And then to feel strong, capable, and empowered with the confidence that you’ll be on your path, on your terms, and supported by a cohort of others in the same position, at the end of it?
We believe that mothers coming back from their leaves can thrive
By identifying the unique strengths that set you apart – heightened empathy, productivity, resilience, enhanced ability to multi-task and cope with stress, and improvements in strategic thinking, negotiation and judgement among them – you’ll be better able to position yourself to ‘Crush It’ on your return to work.
We’ve all seen careers take different directions as a result of leaves, sometimes by choice, but often not. Whatever ‘Crush It’ means to you – define it, own it and take the steps toward it – before your leave even begins – and take control of your direction.
To help practicing lawyers who are about to be first time Mom’s on that journey, with the added complication of a global pandemic! – we are taking our ground-breaking ‘return from leave’ program virtual and we have opened a pilot cohort that will commence in October, 2020. This group will be made up of a small group of practicing lawyers who are also expectant, first-time mothers and have an anticipated leave date commencing between November 1, 2020, and January 30, 2021. The program includes:
  • 12 monthly group sessions of 2.5 hours each, including substance and networking time
  • 6 hours of one-on-one coaching to help people apply the information to their own context
  • Limited space – maximum of 8 participants
  • Cohort of women from across multiple firms, curated to account for practice area and firm diversification
  • Regular price: $6,000 per participant
  • Pilot pricing for pilot cohort starting in October, 2020 (dates and times to be set by participants in each cohort) – 50% off ($3000)
This program was developed to help women lawyers return from maternity leave with confidence, fully equipped to take the next phase of their career to the next level.
