July 8, 2020 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The post-articling hire-back period is always a stressful time, which makes the current global events particularly difficult for junior lawyers seeking to get a foothold in the profession. WLAO would like to help by providing a virtual information and networking opportunity. We will be hosting a panel of lawyers that practice in areas of law that will be in greater demand over the next few years. There will also be practical tips and strategies on how to network given the current realities. Panel members include :

  1. Sloane Bernard  - In house at Intact
  2. Lisa Stam - Employment Lawyer at Spring Law
  3. Miriam Leung - Director at The Counsel Network
  4. Frances Wood - Partner at Family and Civil Law firm
  5. Lisa Corne - Bankruptcy Lawyer with Dickinson Wright

After the initial talk, participants will have an opportunity to move between breakout rooms to ask specific questions to the panelists. WLAO members will be on hand in the main room to discuss their experience of transitioning as a junior lawyer or how to branch out to a specialty.

Please join us on July 8th at 5:30-7:00 by registering below. Zoom login details will be shared with registered participants.
