This Town Hall Mentoring Event is the first in a proposed series. Each Town Hall will highlight mentoring tips offered by a range of practitioners within the same practice area.
The Family Law Town Hall Mentoring Event explores the practice of family law from the perspectives of professionals engaged in litigation, collaborative, advocacy and peacemaker roles and answers questions from the registrants. We hope you will join us.

This Town Hall Mentoring Event explores the practice of family law from the perspectives of professionals engaged in litigation, collaborative, advocacy and peacemaker roles and answers questions from the registrants.

Finding ways to supplement your practice can set you up for success in a new area of law, or help you pivot into an alternative career. Our speakers will be discussing their certifications, the time and cost commitment involved in pursuing each of them, and the types of clients that their designations best serve. We will be hearing from:
Meghan O'Neil of Mills & Mills LLP and her role as an estates administration lawyer and TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner);
Lorisa Stein and her role as a family lawyer, mediator, voice of the child, and business enterprise specialist;
Sherif Rizk and his role as a Certified Fraud Examiner and civil law degree holder;
Gokul Kamaraj and his role in an alternative career in law as a senior manager in anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist funding with Scotiabank; and
Madeline Ntoukas on the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and her experience working as claims counsel.
This program contains 1 hour and 30 minutes of Professionalism Content.

Cost: $35 plus HST ($40 at the door) No charge for Mentors!
CPD: This program qualifies for 1 professionalism hour.
The WLAO Young Lawyers Chapter invites you to join them at their summer mentoring program. Have your questions answered by lawyers with many years of experience. The event will be held at the Maezo Restaurant on June 24th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to rotate through multiple speed-mentoring sessions in small groups, and later, meet and mingle with a variety of accomplished lawyers from diverse practice areas.
