Vanessa Lam is the founder of Lam Family Law. She is a strategic legal advisor and lawyer who focuses on providing family law lawyers with litigation and dispute resolution strategies and research-related services. She also works directly with select litigants on appeal files. Vanessa has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Divisional Court and Court of Appeal.

After graduating from Queen’s University at the top of her class with the University Medal in Law – Highest Standing, Vanessa articled as a judicial law clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Vanessa then worked at a busy family law boutique firm (MacDonald & Partners LLP) in Toronto. She started as a traditional associate and then transitioned her practice to focus on her interests in written advocacy, research, and appeal work.  Vanessa has also worked at Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO) to project manage, develop, and create new online public legal information and education.
